PLiBOT Lite, a lightweight real-time controller that allows you to control robots using only a browser and without ROS, is now available.

PLiBOT Corporation (Headquarters: Katsushika-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masaaki Sato) has launched sales of "PLiBOT Lite," a real-time web controller that significantly lowers the barrier to robot implementation and allows even on-site workers to operate it.

Recently, automated transport using AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) has attracted attention as a solution to the labor shortage and productivity improvement issues that have become social problems in factories and warehouses.
However, there is a growing demand for simpler and easier-to-use systems due to issues such as server installation and customer configuration changes.

To meet these demands, we have developed and launched sales of "PLiBOT Lite," a web controller that enables safe and easy implementation and operation of AMRs.
This product is a web controller for robots that thoroughly pursues "lightweight, immediate implementation, and usability on-site." It operates without ROS (Robot Operating System), is browser-based, and includes PLC integration as standard. It employs an intuitive UI for robot operation, and documents and error codes can be displayed in Japanese.

Furthermore, because a domestically developed application acts as an intermediary between the robot and the customer's network, even overseas-made robots can be safely and securely implemented. This tool simultaneously minimizes operational burden and security risks when introducing robots into factory and warehouse environments.

We will be conducting an AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) driving demonstration using "PLiBOT Lite" at our booth (Hall 6A, Booth Number: K36-30) at "Factory Innovation Week - The 2nd Kansai Robodex Robot Development & Application Exhibition," which will be held at Intex Osaka from May 13th.

◆Product Overview
Product Name: PLiBOT Lite
Main Features:
Feature 1: Easy Setup and Operation
 - No dedicated software installation required. Robot operation and monitoring are possible simply by accessing it through a browser.
 - Automatic startup linked to the robot's power supply. Start using it immediately from your browser after powering it on.
 - All-in-one with a single RevPi (small industrial computer). No separate server or control panel installation required.
Feature 2: Real-time Map & Robot Visualization
 - Real-time rendering of robot position, nodes, and travel path on the map.
 - Live display of laser sensor scan data and travel path.
 - Intuitive map operation with mouse wheel zoom and drag movement.
Feature 3: Intuitive Robot Operation
 - Relocation (position teaching) by drag and drop on the map.
 - Manual robot operation from the screen using a virtual joystick.
 - Instant movement command by simply selecting a node with one-click GOTO.
Feature 4: Advanced Task Management
 - FROM-TO (Pick & Place): Automatic execution of sequential tasks including fork/jack operations.
 - Task Queue: Supports rearranging, pausing, and resuming multiple tasks for sequential execution.
 - Node-specific parameters: Save Pick/Place height, PGV settings, tray rotation, etc. for each node.
 - Multi-floor support: Correspondence management between floor numbers and map names. Tasks between different floors are automatically executed via elevator integration.
Feature 5: External device control via PLC integration
 - Supports Mitsubishi MC protocol and Modbus/TCP
 - Automatic task submission via PLC register monitoring (Send-Task function, trigger address support)
 - Automatic processing of "Ask → Enter → Done" sequences with automatic doors, etc.
 - IO devices: Immediately execute writes and reads to the PLC when passing through a node (conveyor control, etc.)
 - Elevator integration: Automatically control elevators via PLC for fully automated transport between different floors
 - Automatic PLC connection management: Efficiently share connections across multiple devices
Feature 6: User-friendly UI/UX
 - Dark/light theme switching to accommodate day and night work environments
 - Built-in Japanese error code dictionary for faster troubleshooting
 - Settings are automatically saved and retained even after restart
 - DIO remote control: Toggle robot DO/VDI ON/OFF from a browser
 - Log export: Server logs are saved in rotation (5MB x 10 files) and can be downloaded from a browser.
Feature 7: Integration with higher-level systems via a rich set of REST APIs
 - Equipped with over 70 API endpoints as standard, allowing direct control via HTTP from higher-level systems such as WMS and MES.
 - API specifications are automatically displayed by simply accessing /docs in a browser. Easy Collaboration Development
 - The higher-level system can access all functions using only HTTP (REST), eliminating the need to learn proprietary protocols.
Feature 8: Safe and Secure Domestic Development - Global Robots Can Be Safely Introduced
 - All source code is developed and managed domestically—the low-level TCP communication of overseas robots (such as Seer from China) is wrapped with a domestically developed application, minimizing the impact on the customer's network.
 - Communication with the robot is limited to TCP within the local LAN—the robot does not need to connect to the external internet or cloud, blocking the risk of information leakage.
 - Integration with the higher-level system is via PLiBOT Lite's REST API—the robot manufacturer's proprietary protocol is not directly exposed to the customer's internal network.
 - Japanese language support (UI, error messages, documentation) allows on-site operators to use it without confusion.
 - Inquiries and customization consultations are also handled entirely in Japanese—no need to contact overseas manufacturers.
